Surveyor

Our Lloydminster office is looking for a Surveyor. As part of the Survey Department you will report to your Branch Manager and project managers in regards to providing field surveys, data management, and reporting

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing and performing field surveys supported by a survey assistant.
  • Liaise with Project Managers and Project Engineers regarding timing requirements, priority, and survey methodology used.
  • Liaise with the client’s field representative.
  • Preparing and communicating field notes, sketches, checklists, and digital data in the formats required by the drafting department or project manager.
  • Review field and office procedures regarding survey matters.
  • Provide topographic layouts, cross-sectional surveys, and calculate quantities including earthworks (excavation, backfill, stockpiles), water volumes and surface areas, construction layouts, drainage surveys, and road surveys in accordance with the Geomatics Department standards.
  • Providing high quality service to all clients and stakeholders of each project.
  • Lead survey crew.
  • Train and mentor junior surveyors and technicians.
  • Ability to be flexible and collaborate, while maintaining high standards and quality work within a fast-paced environment.

Position Qualifications and Experience

  • A graduate of post-secondary course related to surveying and geomatics from a recognized college or university.
  • Minimum five years experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Have experience with the use of ATVs, snowmobiles, and chainsaws.
  • Ability to use and adapt to the latest survey equipment and software.

Civil Engineering Technician

Our Lloydminster office is looking for a Civil Engineering Technician or Technologist to join our team. As part of the Materials Team, you will report to the Lab Manager and you will provide support to project managers for various quality control and quality assurance projects.

Your Responsibilities will include:

  • Continued attention to safety and safe work environments.
  • Materials testing such as concrete, soil, aggregate, and asphalt with an emphasis on learning the requirements of the project or job assigned, and delivering these services accordingly.
  • Accurate, detailed, and efficient inspections and monitoring which may consist of, but is not limited to, reinforcing bar inspections and pile inspections.
  • Submittal of accurate, detailed, and timely reports of all inspection and testing work completed.
  • High quality service to all clients and stakeholders of the project.

 Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Graduate of relevant engineering or construction degree, diploma, or certificate program
  • CCiL Certification in Concrete, Aggregate, and/or Asphalt Testing

Junior Transportation Engineer

Our Lloydminster office is looking for a Junior Transportation Engineer to join our team. As part of the Infrastructure Department you will report to your Branch Manager and project managers in regards to providing design and construction support for the transportation and infrastructure services group, as well as supporting the lead transportation engineer to execute deliverables to key clients.

Your Responsibilities will include:

  • Assessment and Design
    • Participate in the design of plans, estimates and details with the use of guidelines and engineering software
    • Provide preliminary analysis for basis of design such as hydraulic, drainage, geotechnical etc.
  • Contract Admin and Project Management
    • Ensure there are appropriate project plans that incorporate schedules, costs & milestones for the various phases
    • Manage quality assurance and quality control for construction on multiple projects
    • Ensure that systems are in place to track project costs and schedules
    • Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications
    • Supervise the work of assistant project managers and, in some cases, technicians appointed to the project
    • Produce statements of quantities and prepare budget assessments
    • Prepare progressive estimates and construction reports for civil engineering projects Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, and other topographical or geologic data
  • Maintain and adhere to project schedule for assigned projects

  • Assist in writing reports, such as bid proposals, tender documents, and project reports

Senior Office Administrator

Clifton is currently searching for an experienced Senior Office Administrator to join our Lloydminster office. Reporting to the Regional Operations Lead, the successful candidate(s) will be professional and skilled at establishing and maintaining effective working relationships, both internally and externally. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Provide detailed and accurate administrative support to the office by composing, editing, and preparing a variety of reports, memos, and other documents; 
  • General office duties including: answering phones, maintaining office filing system, and responding to general office inquiries, as necessary; 
  • Develop and deliver office/business correspondence, as directed; 
  • Provide accounts receivable support to project managers, as necessary; 
  • Assist with general office HR duties, including onboarding and offboarding of employees; 
  • Establish and maintain positive, productive, and professional working relationships with internal and external parties; 
  • Planning and coordination of office events and corporate functions; 
  • Provide senior administrative support to other offices, as required. 

Position Qualifications and Experience  

The preferred candidate will have the following qualifications:

The work will include oversight of assessment, permitting, remediation and risk management projects, and support to other practice groups.  In addition to managing and mentoring staff within the Regina office, work will include collaboration with other offices to provide technical guidance and strategic planning.

  • Registration (or eligibility) as a Professional Engineer or Geoscientist with the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS)
